On December 27, 2017, the appointment ceremony of Tsinghua Distinguished Visiting Professor Feniosky Peña-Mora was held in Lingchangfeng Conference Room, Department of Construction Management, Tsinghua University. The school leadership team, invited faculty members, and family member s of Professor Peña-Mora attended the ceremony.

At the beginning of the ceremony, Professor Dongping FANG, Chair of the School of Civil Engineering, gave a welcome speech. He said this appointment is aiming to strengthen the connection with Professor Feniosky Peña-Mora and broaden the channels for collaboration in teaching, research and talent training. Professor Fang then briefly introduced Professor Feniosky Peña-Mora and his distinguished achievements.

Next, Professor Peña-Mora was awarded the certificate of Distinguished Visiting Professor. In his acceptance speech, Professor Peña-Mora expressed his gratitude for the support of the school, and hoped more collaboration in the near future.

Professor Jing WU, Head of the Department of Construction Management, appreciated and thanked Professor Peña-Mora for what he has done for the department over the past few years, and he looked forward to further cooperation in the future.

Tsinghua Distinguished Visiting Professor is an academic honorary title, aims to award those top professors and scholars who have a high international reputation and can play an important role in talent training, scientific and academic research for Tsinghua.
